Belkin Car Universal Mount reviews

I've had cheap mounts before and they always fell off causing potential hazards (I once had a small tablet hit my gear stick to neutral as it fell while on the motorway). But this seems quality, phone is stuck on well and was easy to apply.

Outstanding. I've tried some of the cheaper mounts, thinking they all must be the same. I was wrong. Other mounts had poor adhesion to my windscreen. The Belkin has an interesting dial that you turn and turn to secure the suction cup to the windscreen – once I tightened it all the way, it has stuck like a dream. I would splash out and go for something mid-level like the Belkin, and not have to worry about it falling off midway along the motorway.

SO I've used this for whilst now, My initial reaction was that the product is well built . It works as intended secures to the surface pretty good BUT the Neck holding the device is Wobbly its bounces around whilst driving. Buy this on special not @ normal price

While it does take my S9+ with a large protective case, when mounted to the screen which is the only place I could use it, it bounces around all over the place.

Snapped in half to my surprise. Then the replacement squeaks louder than anything I've ever experienced. At least this one hasn't snapped in half I guess.

I find it's always hard to buy something unless someone else has can recommend it. Well I bought this in Sep 2021 and mounted it the same day it arrived. Very solid unit and very well constructed. We haven't had it long but I doubt it will give us any issues. The suction to the windshield is super strong and it hold my phone very solidly, with no rocking. Comes with an alternative dash mounding (stick on) facility but have not tried this. Looks like it would work just as well but I prefer the glass mounting option. Check your phone size though – just to be sure. It fits mine but if you have a wider phone, it might not extend to the width that you want. Instructions were super easy to understand and very clearly laid out. Personally I've purchased a vent mounted unit in the past, but I've found this Belkin far superior to my previous purchase as it doesn't rock around as much. (eg vent mounted ones can move with the vent!!).

I bought this from Mighty Ape a few years ago and found it very reliable and secure. My phone was always safe and never falls out while I'm driving. My car was recently broken into and one of the things they took was the Belkin car mount. I am ordering another one to replace it.

A great car mount. Being able to lock it in place on the windscreen makes it so much more stable, especially driving on Northland roads where they are incredibly bumpy. Having a hole in the back on the mount so that you can thread your charge cable through is a welcome bonus. For the price it's a decent mount.

The suction part is decent and it will stick to the glass okay. The sticker though, it will not stick and pretty much useless. I have a very average-sized phone case and I tried putting it on with/without the case as well. It will not hold my phone for long and the phone keeps slipping off. It would work better with smaller phones.
