Description

Beyond the Horizon: A Remembrance Journal for Healing the Loss of a Pet is written for anyone who has suffered the devastating loss of a beloved companion animal. For those interested in Journal Therapy, this book is designed to help you work through and express your thoughts and feelings associated with the loss of your pet. This Journal is a place where you can reflect on the unique and beautiful bond you shared with your beloved and provides a framework to help you process through the various stages commonly associated with the death of a pet. Each chapter begins with a general overview and then transitions to a set of questions intended to elicit personal reflections and insights. With the use of therapeutic questions and prompts, the author guides you through the various phases of your pet's life and stages of grief. While personal experience is woven throughout the tapestry of this Journal, it is primarily informed by clinical experience in Pet Bereavement as well as scholarly research on the Human-Animal Bond and Pet Loss. This Journal seeks to bring a sense of comfort and healing for those who have lost a beloved companion animal.
