Blue Microphones Snowball reviews

I recently got mine this week and I'm using the Blue Snowball for making commentaries on my Youtube gaming videos. Its really easy to use, just plug in the usb to your computer and record and edit using audacity. The Blue Snowball Mic quality is good and I will recommend this mic to anyone wanting to record their voice (setting 1) playing on their instrument (setting 2) or recording the sounds of the environment (setting 3). I'm happy with this purchase and it gets 5 stars from me.

Its good but some of the audio is a bit low

The mic quality is really good when it's close to your mouth but when it's a bit farther, it's not as good. Also the mic picks up basically anything it can hear. So if you're going to buy this for streaming, I advise not. This mic is better for recording your voice and nothing else.

I'm not a mic guru but I've had the Blue snowball for the last two years now and for it's price, it's amazing. I've dropped it quite a few times and it still seems to be doing it's job. Literally my only issue is that when recording / editing, it seems to pick up my voice very quietly. It used to pick it up at a normal volume so whether it's something to do with my pc settings / the fact that I've dropped it can definitely be argued. When listening to my audio in my YouTube videos compared to others, I'd say it doesn't necessarily sound as professional but it's a lot better than just using a headset mic and the quality is definitely better than average. I'm sure there a some tutorials around on how to make the make the most of it. HIGHLY recommend for first time purchasers

The quality is great, really good mic for the price.

This Microphone is EXCELLENT, especially for a USB mic, I first got this microphone around 13th of September 2017 and over that 6–7 months I can say it is the best microphone I have owned. As soon as I got this mic all I needed to do is screw the head of the mic to the stand and then plug it in. There also has three settings on the back, all do different things, first one just makes it sound like you're normally talking. Second one makes it so its really quiet but there has NO background noise, like if you have a really loud fan or if you're dog is barking in the background. Finally setting three makes it so you're voice sounds a little bit more louder, but this does come with a defect of you're voice sounding a little bit more high pitch. What i'm saying is that this microphone is definitely worth its price. (I suggest getting a pop filter so it gets rid of all those P and B sounds)
