Borderlands previews

Borderlands comes from good gaming stock, from the guys who developed the Half-Life expansions, helped in the development of Halo, and of course the Brothers in Arms series.

For a first attempt at an RPG hybrid, they seem to have got quite a few things right that more distinguished developers should take note of.

Procedurally generated landscapes, dungeons and weapons,essentially providing unique experiences no matter how far into the game you go, aim to create a feeling of “just one more room” which looks like it will be fairly effective.

Using four main characters instead of creating your own limits replayablity a bit, but hopefully will include optional questlines to explore, and four player co-op in an FPS RPG is one of the best ideas I've heard in a while.

Overall, looking forward to this game, if a bit hesitant that they can pull it off.

i have just played this game at GO3 ( Perth's Gaming and entertainment convention) and i have to say this game is very good. its got the skill and leveling system of World of warcraft, with the environment and Game play of fallout 3.

if you like RPG's than borderlands is the game for you.

If this is as well built as it sounds should be a blast, if any of the makers of the game read this , please for the love of crap dont try and do a shonky consol port onto the pc, load it with DRM crap , and then blame piracy for reduced sales ! . – See saints row for shonky consol port, or GTA4 for we accuse all our customers of theft.

Please take note of quality finished products that work without hassles, such as fallout3, and similar games.

This is great have been looking for a 2 weeks now and loving the art style and new features popping up. Every time I read something about this game there's something new over 3 million guns and different ones every time you play this will never get boring, and the idea of role playing shooter, BRILLIANT!, they have worked hard on this game a definite for me.!!!!
