Description

"Charlie and me we heard of a war. Somewhere .... everywhere and nowhere particular. It did not matter...... till someone told us why. So we got in the car and travelled by and by." Be it war, love, birth, marriage or death, or life in general, Ron tackles many subjects and leaves you to reflect, laugh or shed a tear with him. His most famous poem "I Remember Charlie" captures perfectly the feelings of soldiers in a theatre of war, yet this extraordinary Poet can just as easily write about love or a lullaby. "Bright Hope" is a book you will want to browse through often and the paperback version makes a great gift for that special someone or occasion. Ron lives with his wife in Hampshire, England. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Ron is happiest surrounded by his family. As well as writing and reading poetry, Ron enjoys researching into his Ancestors. He is very proud of his Gypsy roots. After several years of military duties, Ron spent 2 years serving as a missionary in Ireland before settling down and raising a family. Ron is also known in the online virtual community of Second Life (SL). People from many parts of the world enjoy visiting his Gypsy Camp in SL. It is a treat to hear Ron read poetry.
