"Revist high-school - but actually have fun!"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

A much more personal adventure than any in the GTA series, and Bully really shines for it. Jimmy Hopkins is a likeable delinquent, and progressing him through from fresh-faced newcomer to hardened king of the school is very satisfying. Colourful characters populate the world that – though much smaller in scale – is much better realised than a GTA.

The class minigames are, surprisingly enough, mostly kinda fun.

Had heard horror stories about it being a terrible port, but I experienced no bugs, aside from a few rare crashes to desktop. No mouse in the menu irritated me at first (is pretty sloppy not to bother for the PC!), but soon got over it.

Recommended.

"You Will Be Laughing Your Arse Off!"
4 stars"

When you were young or if you still are attending High School did you get picked on? Were you always bullied? Then this is your chance to have the time of your life and have a bit of vengeance to your bullies. Bully is the type of game that you feel like just couldn't end until your character grows up. Even though i must admit it has pretty bad graphics this game is endless hours of fun. Almost everything you can imagine you can do in this game. From wet-willies for wedgies this game has it all. A fun game a good buy for kids around the age of 14. 4/5

"School was never THIS fun:-)"

Another great game from the Rockstar crew, with all new characters, great storyline and the same entertaining gameplay elements that Rockstar developed with their other games (like a mix of the Grand Theft Auto series and ‘The Warriors’).

Help Jimmy Hopkins (the new guy) get through the school year, stay out of detention/infirmary/jail, and most importantly, learn those essential social skills everyone needs to survive in the outside world (or prison). Exploring the school (and later, the rest of the town) is just as fun as any GTA game. The story is very well done (even though the ending is very predictable). The characters are all great fun and very cliched which can be both good and bad (all the stereotypes: mean teachers, geeky nerds, brainless jocks, aggresive bullies). Cool music tracks for all kinds of situations (I like that bass guitar).

The violence and language in this game is MUCH tamer than Rockstar's other games. There aren't any deaths or even blood (that I can remember), only ‘knockouts’, and there aren't any ‘lethal’ weapons either (though I suppose the slingshot would sting, and leaving banana skins on a staircase could break bones). The R13 rating seems pretty fair…but don't let that put you off, this game is a LOT of fun:-)

The port to PC could have been better. The keys can be customized but it would have been cool if you were able to use the mouse in the menu screens. The game also supports certain XBOX 360 controllers so I suppose I may get one of those someday, and there are only 6 save slots but that is easily fixed with a little ‘cut and paste’ in Windows Explorer. The game actually didn't run at first (I have Windows 7 64-bit), but I had already downloaded the 1.200 patch before I got the game, so after installing that, I was sorted and playing in just a few minutes. There are still CTD's (crashes to desktop) but they are VERY rare and two locations in-game had minor slowdown but that may just be my setup (and you only need to go to each place once).

Good: Great storyline Cool soundtrack Fun gameplay Excellent characters Good voice acting

Bad: Console-to-PC port Might not play without 1.200 patch

This is definitely a ‘must buy’.

"Very fun game ~ worth the money."

Bully: Scholarship edition is a very fun game, the protoganist of which is a typical high school bully. Throughout the game, he gets up to all sorts of mischevious (as well as not so mischevious) activities, all of which are well tied into the overall setting.

This game is like GTA for the uninitiated; tone the killing down to mere violence, and add many fun pranks in a world that is shrunk to match the height of the characters.

The only downside to the game is there are still some rather odd console-port bugs which are a minor irritation, but these do not hold the game back in terms of fun factor.

Well reccomended. Even better with an xbox controller.
