Sandy Compton is a native Montanan, outdoorsman, world traveler and explorer of the American West, as well as the nature of human relationships with landscape, other humans, the occasional critter and themselves. His considerable writing skills span adventure fiction, children's stories, the essay, and creative non-fiction. With eight books to his credit and more on the way, he has become an important regional voice in the Northern Rockies.
