Black Ops 3 reviews

After the disappointments that were Ghosts and Advanced Warfare, I was very interested to see how the third entailment in the Black Ops franchise would hold up against it's well-loved predecessors.

After putting many hours into the Beta and the final release, I am pleased to say that the series has returned to it's former glory. Fast, fun, action. The new movement system is new and improved and the gun and map variety as well as the pure level of detail is astonishing.

The campaign story is lacklustre, but is not normally the main attraction of the franchise, and Zombies is back and better than ever, with an enticing story and incredible gameplay mechanics.

Definitely worth a pick-up.

Note: The new Nuketown 2035 map is also a great bonus for pre-ordering.

It's nice to have a not awful Call of Duty on the current gen consoles. Ghosts was pretty bad, Advanced Warfare launched well then got butchered over time, but this is actually a solid game. The campaign, although more ambitious with co-op is less immersive and fun as previous entries. Zombies is a joke! They forgot what the core gameplay of zombies was all about, surviving waves of the undead, instead they've gone full on into those hardcore easter egg hunters territory where any casual zombies player cannot enjoy the experience. the downloadable ‘The Giant’ map is superb. Multiplayer is love it or hate it. The movement is certainly better than Ghosts and AW HOWEVER we shall see if it holds up as the months go on. I've yet to find any weapons that I like using online though. All around it's better than Ghosts and AW but not as good as Black Ops 2.

Excellent game

This is a awesome game on ps4 but the PS3 version of the game is c*** and should not had be made for ps3. Ps3 is slow and old

This game is very fun to play and it came very quickly after I ordered it at 2pm the day before

Only 1 hour till global release yaaay

This is a great game! But in the last couple of days playing hardcore team deathmatch online I've noticed level 1000 guys that can literally take 5 shotgun rounds to the head from a foot away then magically 1 shot you in the foot with the first pistol you get! Hackers only seem to be in the hardcore modes fortunately so standard deathmatch is the solid cod you'd expect!

Good new features, better than advanced warfare, still average

I feel like I'm the only one who wants the black ops series to go back to it's roots. They have games such as advanced warfare for the futuristic type battles with jumping and exo suites etc. I just want to be running around a map with an AK or any other REAL gun and have some proper firefights. Leave the exo suites and all that jazz to Advanced Warfare, GIVE ME BLACK OPS 1 BACK!

Finally a decent cod game after 2–3 years

Finally, a good COD has been released. BO3 is super fun and never gets boring. I could literally play for hours on end!!! 15/10 would recommend.

Money well spent except when I go owen

Didn't think I'd enjoy it with all the thrusting n stuff but dam this is my new favorite cod game so far, really enjoyed playing it.

This game is fun, even more with a surround headset where you can hear the other team creep up on you and you shoot them while they're in the air. Keep up the work apes 10/10

Way better on PS4 and love 2player mode so me and the women can play together 5/5

As usual the multiplayer is highly disappointing and all the updates prove it… Has to much of a AW feel to it but lets be logical, since when has black ops ever made a decent multiplayer since black ops 1. Treyarch you need to take some notes from infinity ward and when majority of your customers dont want you to put exo suits, you do it anyway- pffffft.

Thank god there is zombies, otherwise this game wouldve got a 1 star rating. Zombies never disappoints.
