MW3 Xbox 360 previews

Alright so ill start off by saying that, im a huge FPS fan. Halo, COD, Battlefield, Crysis, Gears of War, Homefront, Counter Strike, are just the few I can name that I have put hours of gameplay into.

I brought MW2 on PC and I have put a surreal amount of hours into that game, 90% in multiplayer. I never played any other FPS as much and got as much enjoyment out of it.

MW3 looks like a upgraded version of MW2, which to me isnt much of a disappointment, and the revamped Killstreak system looks really interesting along with many of the extras.

The downside is that quickscoping will be making its return, and I hope to god that the One-Man-Army perk has been removed due to its unbalancing with Grenade launchers. Akimbo was a unreal approach to me and I still dislike it.

I will be one of the “idiots” buying this game, at the same time getting Halo Anniversary, and possibly Battlefield 3, and whether I enjoy it or not will be decided when I play it :)

If people are looking to find a different game to play, I would say MW3 isnt for you, but then again the most recent “different” FPS I remember coming out was Borderlands (Which was fantastic, with a crap story), most are series games so I guess nothing is really new :D

$130 for a stock standed game!!! the cod franchise are so big they know the fan boys will pay it and they are charging for cod elite. Boycott cod! get battlefield

If you loved mw2 then this game is for you. If you wanted something new to refresh the series then I'm sorry to tell you that this is basically Mw2.5…

Is it so hard to upgrade your engine and take more than a year to make a truly great game-

Be cash wise, spend your money on something NEW and not on a stale series.

this game doesnt look that great IMO but if you preorder now you should be able to get a multiplayer booster pack. MW3 is using the same engine as MW2 so its going to be exactly the same game just on new maps with some new perks chucked in for show derp is derp is derp is derp

This game is overpriced and pretty much MW2 with slight changes.

It also supports COD ELITE, but its really a service that shouldn't be paid for and should've been available for free since it only offers replays and just general stat tracking.

Im not going to get exctied. In my opinion Call of Duty when downhill since World at War. They need to keep it simple but yet still have new exciting things. Black ops and MW2 Were alright but they added to much. And no, Call of Duty wouldn't be Call of Duty if they added “Cover and Fire” stuff. Go play Gears of War or like you said, Brothers in Arms if you want a game like that.

But you can't tell until its out. I will still buy it, but won't be getting excited about it.

You are paying $130 for a game you practically have already played. MW3 will be nothing more or less than MW2, some fanboys have no problem spending however many dollars on the yearly CoD game, but you should be smart. Get Battlefield3.

The campaign is going to be good, the multiplayer looks alright the survival mode looks awesome just like zombies for black ops and world at war. The only problem is the price way to high.

This will be the game to end critisism, theyve kept all the good and improved the floors, mines preordered, and I dont think ill be getting much sun this summer!

Like the last guy said, Modern Warfare 2.5, (Well 2.4 since this would make it the 4th addon to it, with 3 DLC's being dished out already).

It's what I expected though, just MW2 with some new features but yeah. It's not great, it's not bad either. Out of the two competitors I think BF3 will get more gametime.

After looking at all the Trailers and Gameplay demos this looks more like a DLC pack for MW2 than a whole new game. And no this is not a good thing as Modern Warfare 2 was the most hated CoD game by all of the “Hardcore” fans of the franchise.

The next part of the COD Series looks fantastic, but realistically it should have been given a new game engine, for instance the cover ability to duck and fire, like in Brothers in Arms Hells Highway, or perhaps the ability to command your squads.

In all fairness though Activision look like they've outdone themselves on this one!

i reckon its going to be another 5 hour blast up and then onto the multiplayer, just like the other COD's. will still look at purchasing but after being let down by the length of the single player campigns in the last couple of offerings still a bit sceptical. since i have followed this story from cod4 will have to rent it at least to see what the next episode offers.

To be honest id rather buy a game that has had more of an upgrade. Like going from Battlefield BC2 to Battlefield 3 (thats what ill be getting) I do love FPS games but spamming practically the same game year after year gets old. Still will be a good game and at least Mighty Ape gives you a discount to bring it down to a reasonable price.

I'm sure Modern Warfare 3 is just Modern Warfare 2 with new maps and a new campaign. But because it's a Call of Duty Franchise it's an instant buy.\ But that's just my opinion, make your own mind up!

Following the success of Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, Modern Warfare 3 looks set to once again break all sales records.

This will suck and it is so stupid that they have quick scope lobby just so they can cut a hole in the pockets of all the noobs in the world. It's a sqeeze and run title.

ANOTHER call of duty game. When will people wake up and realise that they are all the same- MW3 will just be MW2 all over again. Youll save up your money, but it, play it for a week and then wish youd never bought it. I for one, will not be getting MW3 for this very reason

Modern Warfare 1 and 2 are some of the funnest FPS games out there on the market. They are defiantly some of the most popular. With Infinity Ward, Raven Software and Sledgehammer Games all collaborating on this epic swansong to this game series that revolutionized the FPS genre forever, this title is bound for success. Haters gonna hate, but MW3 is gonna dominate. Dedicated servers, a badass campaign designed by IW, the return of Spec Ops and that is just all of the leaked features ! I am going to pre-order as soon as I get my tax return back. Can't wait until November. This game should be great !!!

MW3 will be one of the greatest shooters of all time. Even though the graphics aren't that upgraded it will still kick butt!!! Bring on November :)

Battlefield 3 has been under development for around and above of 4 years. Infinity makes a not so great CoD every 2 years because of their horned, fork tongued, fire breathing developer Activision, whose sole aim is to bi-annually snatch $130 from every greasy faced, buck toothed 12 year old in existence.

If you were told to make a blockbuster game in under two years, with an intense multiplayer while also adhering to beck and call of every fan on the planet, you'd be making a few mistakes too. The graphics are crap because frankly there is no time in 2 years to write code for another engine. Why do you think EA gave the Sweden DICE team twice as long to make BF3– Dont blame Infinity ward, feel sorry for them.

This game looks exactly the same as its predecesor because they realised how unbalanced MW2 was and have spent most of their time and money on fixing this (thanks to Activition's ge­nerosity… Not!) by making the game more complex, they have made it harder to balance, CoD4 is good because its simple.

For only 2 years in development and limited/inexpe­rienced staff (remember the lawsuit Activision put up involving the postponment of DLC by Infinity's di­rectors to help DICE get BBC2 of the ground-) this game will still be awesomely entertaining and do an adequate job of living up to the franchise. As long as your expectations are reasonable.

Another cod game. Hopefully the multiplayer wont be as bad as what it was on modern warfare2. :)

sure to be the best game of 2011. keeping all of the good stuff from mw2 with the addition of new maps, guns, perks and kill streaks what a better way to end the year than with the release of mw3. Sure to beat the terrible gameplay of black ops and more sales than battlefield 3 well worth the wait and money.

The battle ends between MW3 and BF3 and unfortunately through playing the beta, this game loses to BF3.

After working with activision on this title I think you will all like it.. Like it reeeeeeeeal good!!!!

It just looks exactly the same as mw2 but with a few new guns and maps,call of dutys campaigns are never the strongest ,and black ops is already boring,dont get your hops up.

The modern warefare series has been the best story wise and im sure this one won't disappoint! This one is definitely on my wish list!

Looking forward to this game, will be good and should get money's worth of multiplayer when ya consider how much time you will spend on it compared to money spent. However unlike a few other critics on here I really hope they dont bring back quick scoping, it's so ridiculous, Id rather a game be slightly more realistic than that. And while they are at it they should find some way of discourging the idiots who run around stabbing everyone. It can get pretty annoying when you unload half a clip into someone while they are running right at you and they dont die but end up stabbing you! Id rather die from a noob tube than a quick scope or marathon running ninja!! I will be buying this at some point, but really hoping its not going to be same stuff different day!

I hope this ones a crowd pleaser since the last COD game, black ops was despised by MW2 players for its lack of quick scoping and unfriendliness to snipers, but since its being made by Infinity Ward(the creators of MW1 and MW2)It should be taylor perfectly to their needs. Fingers Crossed;p

Great game!!! played for 48 hours last night at activision headquaters!!!! but tooo many noobs online!!!

the COD series is really good. The single-player is fun and MP is good(used to be great, until MW2) However the series only makes slight changes in it's annual releases. This year Battlefield 3 with its brand new Frostbite 2 engine is simply much greater quality judging by trailers. COD will be good, but cannot overcome it's superior competition.
