I recently bought this to start off my collection buying the Base, Dry, Wash and Layer sets. Its now provided me with an awesome selection of colours and brushes too! If you are starting out or adding to your paint collection, I highly recommend this!

Despite hating GW as a company for its overpriced games, I have to admit that they have the best shades in the business. I use reaper paints which I reckon work best for my painting style, but their shades are pretty lack lustre.. So I had to find another provider and chose GW. As with everything GW, the set was expensive for what you get, it was (marginally) cheaper than getting the shade paints separately.

Shades are really needed in warhammer painting. This set gives you all you will need for the long time. Using each as suggested for its purpose gives a very nice shade for that colour.
Some paint had leaked out of some of the little bottles
It makes the models look amazing with a relatively simple step just add these paints
Essential, and a must need.
