"Great follow up to 'Avenged Sevenfold'"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I didn't like this album at first. The language and themes of some of the songs put me off a bit. But over time, as I increased my Ax7 collection, this album grew on me. Of course Bat Country is fantastic, Seize the Day was a good start at making a more slow song, although they got alot better at it in the future. The rest I'm afraid aren't as memorable. Still typical Avenged Sevenfold epicness, but all their other albums I can name at least 5 songs I love. This is literally in the middle of Avenged Sevenfold's album listing. On it's own it's good, but comparing it to their other albums, it's better than some, not as good as some. [Also, the ending to the last song, M.I.A, is a joke. Like wow that is bad!]

"Great!"
5 stars"

This album has some brilliant songs. It still has a metalcore sound but is now slightly influenced by hard rock. The songs are still outrageously long which is a good thing. The album has some great sounding tracks with damn cool guitars and decent drumming but the vocals have definitely got to be where Avenged Sevenfold's uniqueness comes from. The voice just… it's like harsh but in a good way? Anyway it gives the band something special. xD

A great effort from the band!
