It takes great love and commitment to keep your plants and fish in top health. However, with so many tasks involved with your weekly maintenance, it is not hard to miss a step that could later be detrimental to your tank and it's inhabitants. Filling out a log book prevents that from happening as all the important tasks are already listed for you in one convenient place! All you have to do is fill in the sections as you go. If ever in doubt, check your notes to see what else needs to be done! Using a log book can help create positives habit and greatly increases a chance for success - healthier looking plants and happier fish! With more than 10 different sections, never again will you miss any part of the maintenance. Log book sections include: Water parameters: Routine check with use of your water testing kit. You can also record your tanks temperature and conditioner used. Feeding schedule: Record time of feeding and food type used. You can later compare notes and see which food works best with your pets. Light schedule: Not all planted tanks require the same amount of light. We all need to figure out what works best in our setup. Make a note of light you use and timer schedule so you can easily find what your plants love the most. Head count: Keep track of your pets with a section for current inhabitants number as well as Added/lost fish. Never again will you have to say: " I thought there was more!" Fish health section: Unfortunately, sometimes our fish get sick. This log book contains a section where you can fill in the name of the disease, meds used and fish affected. Should another incident occur, you'll easily be able to see what meds worked the last time, with just a flip of a page! Fertilizer dosage: Plants can be very picky when it comes to the fertilizers. Finding the right dosage and combination is no easy task and take some experimenting. It's easier to do when you can keep a record of ferts and dosage so you can adjust it based on what's working and what's not. Co2 setup: Finding the right amount of co2 for your tank is also very important. Not enough and your plants will not grow as healthy, too much can kill your pets! Keep track of your BPS and results of your co2 testing to help prevent incidents from ever happening. Plant health section: Before we tweak our systems to perfection, problems may occur. In this section you can make a note of which plants are not doing so well, what are the symptoms and how you can fix this problem.
