Author Biography:

Scyld Berry has been cricket correspondent of the Sunday Telegraph since 1993 and, since 1978, has covered every England tour except one. He has been appointed editor of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack for the 2008 edition. He is a keen club cricketer and lives with his family in Bristol.Rupert Peploe is a great-grandson of Ivo and Florence Darnley. He has a business conserving period furniture for museums and the antiques trade and lives with his family in Bristol.
