Died within 30s of playing, great!!!

GG Dark Souls, you win this round… And the subsequent 3453 other rounds.

Makes you want to give up gaming sometimes it's that hard ! but what a game ! Fantastic

I got Dark Souls for him and he swore more than I ever heard him in my life. SO I got him the sequel and have not been disappointed :) Get this game if you like a challenge, don't if you like to win easily.

As advertised, it's gruelling and painful sometimes but it is oddly compelling. It's also visually pretty even for a 360 game.

I rented a copy because it's not really my thing. Although the combat is excellent for me a game needs more than that.

Something I greatly dislike is how your face becomes a corpse face when you die, and your maximum health is reduced whenever you die, making the game harder and harder, as if it needed that. I hated both these things. You reverse this state by using an item but they're rare, and when you use it you promptly die again and you're back to corpse face. There are lots of options for creating a face, I spent about fifteen minutes on mine, but there is little point as most of the game you won't have it.

So I wouldn't buy the game unless I could get it cheap and there was an option to turn the health reduction off.

big let down lots of hype,With all the great titles out there and graphics and mean game play with other games you would think this game would be as good as other games- This game could of been like Dragons dogma or a Skyrim type game.Even the lowest thing you have to fight are hard,To play this game its all about attack step back or roll how borring.
