Hurley (Late a Representative From New York) Memorial Addresses: Fifty-Fifth Congress, Third Session; Fifty-Sixth Congress, First Session; House of Representatives, March 2, 1899, June 4, 1900 Mr. Fischer. Mr. Speaker, owing to the lateness of the hour and the fact that the session has but a few hours left for legislative business, and that it is impossible to set aside a day for eulogies upon my late colleague ['mr. Hurley], I ask unani mous consent that a' proper resolution relating to such eulogies may be introduced, and that gentlemen who desire to do so may be permitted to print remarks on the life and character of my late colleague in the Record for fifteen days. The speaker. The gentleman from New York asks unani mous consent that leave shall be granted to print eulogies upon his late colleague for fifteen days. Is there objection? [after a pause] The Chair hears none. Mr. Fischer. I move as a further mark of respect to the memory of my late colleague that the House do now adjourn.
