An ancient item of limitless power, lost for a millennium and now known only to the oldest and wisest survivors of the previous age, has been found. Only the efforts of the most ancient of elves can prevent it from aiding Moragil the Faceless if he should make war on the western continent of Periand. It must be destroyed, lest it is reclaimed by its foul creator and brings forth darkness to eliminate all the races of the mortal plane. Such a task cannot be done alone, for its destruction will not end Moragil's lust for domination, but the nations of the west are estranged. Many human nations, believing elves and dwarves to be little more than myth, fight their own petty wars for land that may soon be destroyed. Are they too scattered, too divided and too inclined to selfish greed to understand the weight of the decision the chosen few must take? Are they themselves too corrupt to see where the path of honour and virtue truly lies?
