Great game with a huge amount of different outcomes depending on the decisions that you make. I liked it better than heavy rain and beyond two souls. Would recommend :)

First up, not everyone likes interactive stories, much like its predecessors, Heavy rain & Beyond: Two souls, its mechanics are entirely reactive (hit circle, square, triangle or cross when prompted) and multichoice. Majority of the games paths are driven by how you react in conversations during scenes and choices you make. such as, do we A) sleep in the abandoned house B) stay in motel and so on. Choices can fracture you off into an entirely different path of the story and will change the fate of the characters for better or worse. If you enjoy these games, especially ones from Quantum then you really need to add this to your collection. The visuals, story, dialogue and plots are wonderful. You really can connect with the characters and empathize with their plight.
I have no regrets about buying Detroit. I look forward to more titles from the developer.
Amazing game. Very emotional and creative, a huge addition to any fan that loved heavy rain and beyond two souls, make your own story and choose the way you want to play I highly recommend buying this, thank you mighty ape for the Badass keyring included with the preorder
The game is very much like stranger then life And heavy rain lots of cut scenes with simple game play
Love this game! the right mix of cinematics, drama, suspense, quick decisions & actions in every scene. Never boring. I have played through twice making different choices & enjoyed seeing the different endings.
One of my favourite games!
Great game lots of replayability well with a play and changing from medium to hard changes how you play the game alot
Phenomenal! Easily one of the best games I've played to date. Very engaging, emotional and fascinating. You grow to care for the character as you get into the game. The storytelling is very well done. Great soundtrack, great characters, amazing graphics. Good re-playability with so many different outcomes (I'm on my 4th playthrough and I'm still finding new things!).
If your into AI you will love this game. It's RPG, great graphics. You choose the outcome of the story. Storyline is great aswell.
Pre-Ordered the game and played it non-stop for 2 days until I completed it. Each of the 3 androids have uniquely beautiful and captivating stories, that perfectly weave together near the end of the game. All 3 separate storylines introduced support characters that you will fall in love with and find yourself wanting to save everyone. The game graphics are just stunning and so realistic, there really is no other game like it!!
The detail is ridiculously amazing. Spot on motion capture and attention to detail is so good there are rarely any ghosting moments. The character storylines are compelling and there is so much to be found so replaying is a must.
Amazing atmosphere, the story is incredible and constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat. SUCH a beautiful game with characters you just fall in love with. Definitely a game you don't want to miss. Highly recommend this game
When I saw Quantic was making another game like Heavy Rain I was pretty damn happy. But this game has gone well beyond any expectations I had. Its everything Heavy Rain and Two souls did well and succeeded where they failed. The game is nothing short of amazing and really makes you feel like your decisions matter. No two play throughs will be the same so its got a lot of replay-ability. It also asks a lot of the hard questions around AI and the big what if.
All in all 10/10, a great game that I cannot recommend any more highly! You only do yourself a disservice by not playing this masterpiece.
Not everyone will be a fan of these types of games. But if you are, then you are in for a real treat. Visually stunning, great story and improved controls.
I thoroughly enjoyed this latest interactive game from Quantic Dream hehe!
Note: If you have played previous Quantic Dream games, or any interactive drama games then you will enjoy this. If you aren't familiar with linear, branching stories that is mainly cut-scenes, then this game is not for you.
Recommend you playing the demo first before purchasing the entire game.
Very nice game and great graphics
I literally missed out on some content because I played this game from start to finish the same day I got it lol.
Awesome game and story, I need an Android bot to do my chores.
This would have to be the best game I have played out of the other games. It may be a shorter series but I think no other game could fit the emotions and true serious of the Android. So congratulations to the makers.
I have been waiting for this game since they announced it, and when I got it I immediately started playing it. This game touched me in so many ways, and what I loved about it the most was how it is your choice whether you want to be empathetic or not. I felt joy, awe, heartful and sorrow throughtout this game!! I highly recommend it!!! I can’t wait to play it again only differently this time. That’s the beauty of butterfly effect games.
The graphics and acting are exellent but everything else is bad. The story is annoying and stupid, the camera is frustrating but for me the worst thing about it is its lack of options. You cant turn the music off, which completely ruins the game for me, being a musician. All they had to do is add the option, but it has the worst lack of options I’ve seen in a long time. It’s a shame since heavy rain is one of my favourite games, but this is a massive step backwards.
I had this earmarked on my wish list for some time, which made it even more disappointing when I finally played it all the way through. I didn't really think that the quality of mocap lived up to the same price titles from similar studios. The dog animations for example, and some of the walking, was quite bad, all things considered. The storylines are fairly vague, not super in-depth and heavily reliant on a lot of ‘guesswork’. I didn't find anything logical about the plots, clues or the mechanics required to interact with the world. I often found myself going off down a route I did not want to go down because the dialogue choices were ambiguous and there is no ‘second chance’ to get it right. I quite disliked the combat mechanics altogether, especially the Detroit Battle – it just didn't make sense from a UI perspective and I couldn't figure out what it was I was supposed to do to get the outcome I wanted. It's one thing to make a choice and have it turn out unexpected, quite another to try and make a choice but not figure out which key or movement combinations make that happen, or worse – that there doesn't even seem to be a choice at all – and then you die and you go back to the start of the game to get it wrong again 6 hrs later. Yes, overall, very disappointing. I wish I'd spent my money on almost anything else.
