Yalontya Simmons was born in St. Helena Island, South Carolina. Simmons has had a gift for storytelling from a very young age. Her first writing consists of poems, The X-Files fan fiction and short stories. Her hobbies include watching movies, writing, and hiking in the park. Currently, Simmons resides in New York City, where she continues to write fiction.
