Der Dalai Lama, damals noch ein Kind, erkennt, dass Tibet nicht nach den Regeln des Buddhismus lebt und er berlegt, wie man dies ndern knnte. Der Einmarsch Maos vom 9. Sept. 1951 nimmt ihm diese Sorge ab. Am 7. Nov. 1950 wandte sich Lhasa vergeblich an die Uno. Darum floh der Dalai Lama im Dez. 1950. Er kam zurck am 25. Okt. 1951 und unterschrieb Maos 17 Punkte. Und damit ist auch klar, Tibet ist ein Teil von China.
