Story is retold from aunt's point of view. Daughter-In-Law Spanked: by husband's mum for misbehaving at party, severely with hairbrush and cane believing punishment is strictly between the two women, but is it? Jane's Caning, good girl, never punished at school asks for caning from Headmistress, as severe as the school record, because she missed out being caned through her whole school career and needed to experience it.
