Jodie Shepherd, who also writes under the name Leslie Kimmelman, is the author of more than 75 fiction and nonfiction children's books. She is also a former children's book editor. Leslie Kimmelman is the author of "Hanukkah Lights, Hanukkah Nights; Sound the Shofar!; Hooray! It's Passover!; and "Frannie's Fruits, a 1989 Notable Children's Trade Book in the Field of Social Studies (NCSS/CBC). She lives in Ardsley, New York.
