"Great game"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game is a brilliant RPG, and saves a lot of money if you're wanting the expansion and all of the downloadable content. If you like being able to choose different routes and explore different ways of doing things, this is the game for you. You can be good or evil, mage, rogue or warrior, elf, human or dwarf, and choose from six origin storylines to play through that define your character. The downloadable content is relevant and interesting, the characters are well written and easy to fall in love with or hate with a passion.

The only thing to warn about is that all copies of the game are faulty and do not install the “Return to Ostagar” DLC correctly. This is NOT a problem however, as EA and Bioware (the publishers and developers of the game) are aware of this, and will provide the content for free download if you register your copy of the game and talk to a help representative from EA. This can be easily done from their website, through their 24 hour live chat help. I sound like an agent trying to sell it, but really this game is worth it. :D

"Excellent deal!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Dragon Age: Origins is a fantastic game, and with this Ultimate Edition (Game of the Year edition, effectively) you now get all of the previously release Downloadable Content included.. including the massive Awakenings expansion.

One note, however – due to a manufacturing issue, one of the DLC packs (Return to Ostagar) on the disc doesn't work. Simply contact EA UK Customer Support, and they will fix it for you.

"Great game, ultimate replayablity!"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I had borrowed Dragon Age Origins from my boyfriend before I bought this, but I was desperate for the DLC and finally I saw this (hooray for not have to pay hundreds for individual DLC!). I'll say the good parts first: I love this kind of game, if you're into RPGs you'll probably like it, especially if you like strategy and changing the story via your choices. The DLC is challenging but enjoyable. Since buying this ultimate edition I have platinumed the game!

Now, I only gave it four stars because I have an issue. Bioware needs to be a little more attentive to their customers. There was a major issue with the trophies which measure how many darkspawn you've killed. I can't say whether it's due to a glitch, or bad wording (is it party kills, or solo kills- all the trophy says is “killed x darkspawn”). The way I finally got past this issue (if you're curious) was just grinding through Ostagar on Casual and making all my party hold position so I was essentially soloing it. EASY, but time consuming.

Is that an issue- I don't know. Maybe not to you. If you're concerned about platinuming this game, it's good to research my strategy and others. If you don't care about platinuming, then just get this game anyway and play.

Seriously, the storylines in the DLC are great fun (and Darkspawn Chronicles is hilarriously good fun) so if you liked Dragon Age just get it and relax and enjoy.

"Huge fan"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I'm a HUGE fan of the dragon age series and i just finished getting platinum on it recently. The only problem i had with it was frame drops quite often. But either than that it's got quite the interesting but yet twisted storyline to it which i quite liked myself.

Make sure you keep at least 4 rotating backups.

"Great game" Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is an amazing game, and with all the expansions it makes it even better, havn't stopped playing it yet since I had bought it. Addictive.

"Amazing"

I was skeptical of this game and how good it was. It is the second game I have ever actually played through twice or more and enjoyed it both times. An expansive, branching story in an amazingly immersive RPG with some of the most interesting and intriguing characters I have ever seen.

Thats just in the original game though, awakening kicks up the gameplay and improves it in EVERY way, apart from the personalities of your party members, only 3 of the six which I liked, but those 3 are as good, if not better then some of the original cast (one of them is from the original cast).
