Author Biography

Yasmeen Ismail is an incredibly talented author, illustrator and animator. She is the author/illustrator of SPECS FOR REX (Bloomsbury) and her debut picture book, Time For Bed Fred! was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize, longlisted for the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal and went on to win the V&A Best Illustrated Book Award - not bad for book one! Yasmeen works with watercolour and collage, has an incredible eye for colour and a real gift for typography. Yasmeen is Irish but now lives and works in London.
