Having just recently played the Dungeon Siege 3 demo I am impressed with the combat system, the new leveling and talent based skill system and the overall sparkle of the game. It brings me back to Dungeon Siege rather than Dungeon Siege 2, where I found DS2 to have a little more ‘clutter’ than the original. Obsidian have delivered a smack partnered with Square Enix just the same as I'd have expected had Gas Powered Games continued. If the demo is anything to go by, the full version will be absolutely superb. I'd rate 4.5/5 if I could.

After the disappointment that was Space Siege, Dungeon Siege II seems to be returning to the formula of the first two games; this can only be a good thing. There are plenty of character videos out now, and so far, things are looking good, even if the combat seems a little too flashy. That, however, is a simple matter of taste. As long as I have my Boots of Walking +1, I'll be happy.
It's always hard to predict how games will turn out, but I have high hopes for Dungeon Siege III.
