Description

Aquaculture is a growing sector with an ability to have significant impact on economic development of country. Out of total Inland fish production in India, West Bengal ranks first among the Indian States. In the state of West Bengal, Central and State Governments have dedicated television programmes based on agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries which are telecast via DD-Bangla (Krishidarshan) and other private channels like ETV Bangla (Annadata). This book explores a great scientific relevance in the present context of time as many aquaculture based programmes are telecast in television channels but how far are they effective is not known. Only few studies have done studies on farm based Television Programmes. Through this book this issue has been exclusively emphasized.
