A lot of you have that one special Anime that introduced you to the fine art of Japanese animation. Most will say it was Dragon Ball Z, others might say Akira or Gundam. But for me it was Neon Genesis Evangelion. That series was hands down the most ruthless show I had ever seen. The animation was gorgeous, the soundtrack brilliant, and the symbolism and metaphors complemented and outstanding effort by Hideaki Anno.
Now nearly a decade later we are blessed with what has been described as “the true rendition of Eva”. The Rebuild of Evangelion is set to be one of the best animes of our time. Having watched the original series I was first skeptical of this newer rendition, but after watching the first film (Evangelion 1.11) I was hooked. The animation and soundtrack from this new Eva honestly paid justice to the original. Now Hideaki Anno is no longer restrained by technology and we can finally watch what he had created in perfect BluRay 1080p High Definition form. This is worth picking up.
