Description

This is a dazzling presentation of the most stunning jewelry creations by the two great Italian designers of the twentieth century. Lyda Coppola started her company in 1946, but its true commercial birth occurred with her 1948 designs for Fath, Piguet, and Schiaparelli. After her marriage she added her surname, Toppo, and was joined by her brother Bruno Coppola. His contacts in the U.S. enabled Lyda to develop a special collection for the American market. She successfully worked for Emilio Pucci, Ken Scott, and Valentino in the 1960s, creating wonderful pieces to match the fashions of the time. Lyda Coppola retired in 1972 and the company discontinued the trademark in 1986.
