Excerpt from Family Notes Respecting the Bradley Family of Fairfield, and Our Descent Therefrom: With Notices of Collateral Ancestors on the Female Side for the Use of My Children; Written in August, 1883 Iin Francis Bradley's will he speaks of his daughter Ruth as wife of thomas williams. Query. Whether this is the same Thomas Williams of \vestchester County, N. Y., who was named by Leisler as one of his Council, Dec. 11th, 1689 (_see Smith's Hist. Of New York; 2 Doc. Hist. Of N. Y. 'nestchester County adjoined Fairfield County; and at that period there was an intimate relation between Connecticut and New York, and mutual assistance given in war with the Indians.1674, and by his will, dated 28 March, 1674, after giving to his wife, Ann, the use of all his property during her life, he gave the residue to his son John Barlow, and to his daughters, Elizabeth Frost, Martha Beers, Deborah Sturgis, Isabella Clapham and Ruth Bradley, equally to be divided between them. There being some dispute about the division of the property, a compromise was effected between John Barlow, Jr and his brother-in-law, Francis Bradley, and others, by his agreelng to pay them each GBP36.
