Far Cry 3 Lost Expeditions Edition reviews

I don't often leave comments but just had to for this game. This has been the best 18 days of gaming in my life. This game was brilliant, entertaining, funny and so addictive. I choose the “happy” ending and now am typing this as the end credits are playing. And the best part is now I can go back to the island and finish all the side missions etc. Seriously, get this game, you will not be disappointed.

Far Cry 3 is the best of the series yet! AI so detailed they do their own things, Interupt enemies while they get hounded by Wild Dogs, Sneak up on an encampment and take them out silently or charge from the front with full guns blazing! A game where you decide what paths to take. The Island is the biggest map yet, however GTA V is proving to be even bigger, but don't let the competition get to this game, its got its own right and experience like nothing else! Im surprised this game is not #1 since release! Great job to Ubisoft!

Lots of game play and great fun

Really cool game this. Heaps of features, loads of weapons. The one thing I could think of to improve it is maybe more missions/quests. When you put it next to a game like Skyrim it turns out to be really short.

Still a must-buy

This game is really good.

The singleplayer campaign has 2 endings, an though they are obviously different, the final result is similar (and slightly disappointing).

It will take up plenty of your time (an easy 15 hours), especially if you go searching for all hidden loot etc.

Plenty of side missions as well, most of these are either kill an enemy leader, or hunt some animals, but still quite fun.

A patch was released a few months back, that allows you to reset outposts, which means if you defeated enemies an took over their camps, you can reset them so they are once again under enemy control, an earn xp for killing them an liberating the outpost a second time, this is quite useful for those who may have rushed the game, an not reached the max level when the game ended. (when the game ends, you are placed back on the island for free roam, just like in the Assassin's Cre­ed games)

Graphics are great, even on PS3 / 360.

The only bad point would be the co-op campaign, which is really nothing more than a linear, watered down version of the singleplayer, all wild animals are removed, an you have to stick to a general mission path, you cannot roam freely in co-op, it was mildly entertaining, but easily the weakest part of the game.

Overall, I'd rate the game 88/100, loads to do, great fun, an most likely a game you will want to replay :)

Unfortunately I'd only had this a few days and someone broke in to my house and stole everything, including every single PS3 game on my shelf :( Never got to play it!

This game s one of the best shooters I have ever played, the gunplay is awesome, the story was long enough to be enjoyable and their was loads of bonus stuff to do on the islands. The level up system is extensive and well balanced, enemy AI was well coded and made for exiting raids and jungle battles. The graphics and quality of visuals was stunning and everything looked like it had a lot of effort put into it during the games development.

Enjoyed this game a lot, could not put it down. I played Far Cry 2 and didn't enjoy it but this was very good and would recommend.

Beautiful game with heaps of fun and entertainment. A thriller and surely, a masterpiece. Will keep anyone entertained for hours.

I have never played a game like this before and for a “noob” I found it very fun to play and easy to understand the storyline and characters. The ability to explore the rich terrain while doing side missions is also enthralling. A must have game!

I can agree with the reviews about this game giving it 9/10. FAR CRY 3 is by FAR best in Graphics, by FAR best in game play and by FAR, the game is worth every cents you paid for it. I have been playing it for a couple of day now and the game maps and the game itself id huge. I have not unlock yet the codes for the extra 40 minutes mission which is another PLUS for this game. Great FPS Platform with skills that makes you good during the actual game play. There are some very flaws in the game that you may notice but would probably just ignore it, e.g. A.I. Of enemies getting stuck in one place and appears shaky and the carcass of enemies and/or animals, plus the vehicles you were wanting to get back to use or collect seems to have disappeared. And I guess this would be the reason why the rate would be just 9/10. I would recommend this to FPS gamers, friends. The T-shirt I got was a PLUS. Would probably make another review after I have finished the game. But for now, I am enjoying it, Far Cry 3 is a combination of Far Cry 1 and 2 in my opinion with great improvements. Please note that this review is about the Single Player Mode.

An amazing game with lots to do, really enjoying this game! if you haven't already played it you should really try it!
