Far Cry Primal reviews

Very fun, great game. Great story, breathtaking visuals. Although quite similar in a lot of aspects to the previous 2 Far Cry games, does not take away from this game's greatness.

Plays like a far cry game but so much different its refreshing to have this difference it makes a nice change

Far Cry Primal is a really unique game with way too much emphasis on gathering resources and rather limited melee combat. I started missing guns about two hours in, maybe sooner, though I enjoyed the beast master elements of the game quite a lot. This isn’t up to Far Cry 3/4 levels of goodness, and it’s certainly no Blood Dragon, but all that aside it’s still a neat game and I’m absolutely thrilled Ubisoft took the risk.

Hours of fun but only because of the hunting and fighting mechanics, found myself not invested in the plot what so ever

Love this game! Huge map, excellent graphics…crazy fun!

Its fun for a bit but gets dull after the novelty wears off. It does a good job of creating the prehistoric world but thats pretty much the only thing it does well.

Melee combat is lacking and becomes a bore.

The land is vast but it lacks variety and there is little reason to explore.

The progression is too quick and without challenge. You get too many skill points too soon. Resources are too plentiful. You get the ability to tame dangerous animals far, far too soon. Theres absolutely no sense of satisfaction you would get from working toward something and finally achieving it, or finding something cool through exploration.

Stealth is pointless because its so difficult to stay undetected and so easy to just tank with a bear or a sabre cat.

It has its moments here and there but its not worth full price. Wait until you can grab it on sale.

No well established story, too much time wasted on gathering resources to create this and that. Only finished 3% of it and just got sleepy/easily bored of it

The best far cry I've played

Played 6 hours of it on the weekend. It's pretty well designed game, very different from the other Far Cry games. If you like openworld RPGs then definitely worth your time

Pretty much feels like a reskin of earlier games but if it ain't broke don't fix it. If you didn't like the previous games or are getting sick of their style might want to rent or borrow before purchasing.

Great games if you play it in short bursts don't play for over 3 hours at a time otherwise it will get boring
