Firefly Complete Series reviews

If you have never heard of Firefly then you should buy this immediately! (I am assuming that if you have heard of Firefly, I don't need to tell you to buy this as it will already be waiting patiently in your cart.) If you need more convincing, Firefly is a “Space Western” set in the future. There is action, comedy, romance and even some musical numbers thrown in for good measure. The Blue-ray 3-disc set also features some “Special features” including a “making of” which is riveting watching for fans. Firefly is captivating watching, I promise you will be hooked!

This show is just incredible, everything about it is 5 stars. The only thing I have to be sad about is that it's only one season and after watching the first episode the next day of my life seemed to just vanish and all I knew was Firefly. Easily one of the best shows I have watched

well written, great cast & superbly visilised, a western set in space the series follows the crew of a small spaceship called serenity, its dark & brooding cpt while they keep just one step ahead of the law that is the alliance while trying to make an honest buck ( well not so honnest then!!}

I was talked into watching this series with a friend who is obsessed with sci-fi. Tomy great surprise, I truely enjoyed it. Lovable characters, hillarious one-liners, emotional storyline, really disappointed only one series was made, but it's definately Joss Whedon at his best. I'm stocking up on wool to make a hat like Jane's!

Always been one of my favourites. If you like a combination of sci-fi, good humour and awesome characters you must buy this!

Awesome TV series, should have gone for longer then 1 season.

This show is so good it tops Game of Thrones for me in my top 3, and we all know how good GoT is, a must buy for all Sci-Fi and TV Show Fans. Incredibly well written and has become the reason I will always hate Fox. BUY IT NOW.

Great to get the whole series, watch the extras and then cry about there being only one series!

Great stories and characters you can love. Simply a must see for any Sci-Fi fan. Essential to get “SERENITY” (movie) to go with this!

Enjoyed – with a bit of humor

All I knew was it was a Sci Fi on a ship. So I had to watch it and I am so glad I did. I then watched the movie Serenity as I had to have more of this great show. A young “Castle” as main character wasn't the only great actor/actress in this show.

With awesome sound and visuals, very colourful and memorable characters, ongoing storyline bridging every episode and the subsequent movie, this series had a poor viewer count which impacted on revenue and was eventually scrapped because of only that reason.

Several years later the story was concluded with the movie Serenity, with all original core character actors coming back for one more epic round in their respective roles.

Even though it was scrapped, it does conclude the main story arc well with the movie Serenity.

Hopefully that's not the end of the series and it will return for another arc.

I have the DVD version but upgrading to Blu-ray was worth it, better picture and sound.

Firefly was short lived but lives on. Great storytelling with interesting characters. Love this series.

Firefly is everything that Farscape (which was truly excellent, by the way) was aiming to be. Sadly, there was only one series ever made, plus the movie “Serenity”, which kind of tidied up the loose ends.

It has Nathan Fillion, being awesome. Adam Baldwin being Adam Baldwin. And seven other strong cast members. No weak links in that chain.

Oh, and it's a Joss Whedon production. Buy this one, and treasure it.

For fans of this series, its the best way to revisit and re-watch this special sci-fi creation.

Love watching on T.V, Got on DVD, Now the next step up on blu -ray for me, Better sound & picture And a great Deal as well.

A fun space cowboys series

Good series in sequence to the movie as it gives more detail surrounding their adventures and the crew.

This has to be one of the best ever science fiction series. I still can't believe they only made one season.

I thought that I might as well upgrade to Blu-ray. Always enjoyed the series, but I never thought that having it in Blu-ray would make a difference. I was wrong! Firefly in HD, exclusive extras and you can just see the difference in the menu screens alone. Well worth the purchase. A must have for all sci-fi fans.

I was worried it was going to be over hyped but I loved it amazing

This is one of the best sci-fi series I have seen. It has great storylines and characters – there are no aliens, just people with all their flaws in a sci-fi setting – many of the future sci-fi ‘bits’ are taken for granted in the programmes so if you don't keep your eyes open you will miss them. There is some adult content so not suitable for children. This is a really good series, well thought out.

Just buy it and watch, it is worth it 100 times over.

The sci-fi genre is in love with this over too soon series. Imagine some of your favourite old western style shows into the realm of space adventure (think shows like the anime series Cowboy Bebop) with a crew full of characters you love, the only complaint you will have is that its over well before it ever should have been. But at least there is the movie Serenity to round out the series in some ways. Join the fan base, that's all there is to it.

I could burble on about Firefly for ages, and have done so to my friends. I can't really add any more to what the folk have written here about this western styled Sci-fi. Like every one said, " Why did they not produce more .......... – "

Firefly is absolutely brilliant, I love it! It is extremely clever and Joss Wheaton is a clever dude! It feels fresh and like consecutive movies, with a clever storyline, witty one liners and a genius mixture of levity, action, visual effects and charactery stuff.

The aforementioned Awful and infuriating is simply due to the fact there is only one series. Also its on special! Or at least it was when I bought it.

A brilliant show, witty, funny and with that little dash of weird that makes this show an epic. Discover why people all over the world say “Shiny” and fall in love with the characters that only appeared for one season.

No better series around, period.

If you like Scifi, this is for you. Mix Scifi with a western, throw in some comedy and you have Firefly. This is one of the best series I have seen (several times) and why the idiot producers did not make a new season is logic defying. If you have not seen Firefly, then you need too!

Damn you Fox. This tv series is just amazing! Great cast, entertaining stories, the absolute right mix of humor, action & macho. Criminal offense to can this after just 1 season.

Shiny simply the best tv series of all time. I have never loved a tv show so much.

The characters acting storyline make you want to watch more and more. Its 13 hours of bliss, a life time of withdrawal!

I highly recommend this tv series even if you're not a fan of sci fi its simply the best!

After watching this make sure to watch the movie serenity! Video quality is really great and crisp great transfer.

Audio is really good quality with great surround sound effect! Highly Recommend!
