Description

The year is 1876. Late one evening, two men entered the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois. They began to dig up a grave. This was not an ordinary burial place. It was the tomb of the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. While the thieves were preparing to steal the deceased body of this legendary leader, a guard discovered their intrusion and the attempt was thwarted-or so it was reported. What truly happened would send shockwaves around the world.
