Flat Squirrel is a selection of fun and absurd stories all written as poems. The poems began as a tribute to departing colleagues, Farewell Steve Jobs was the first published poem. They are divided into three sets: Trilby is about Home, Panama is about Play and Fez is about Work with a nod to the late great Tommy Cooper. The poems range from tributes to friends, Nelson Mandela and Flight 370 to pondering BMWs, Luis Suarez, Norwegian Woods, Paris and Christmas. Some are protests, some are observations and a few are just plain silly. Most will make you smile one or to will bring a tear to the eye. The poems are not all polite so please don t give the book to small children, but do read it to them selectively. PS Keep an eye out for Maude and Mabel, they will be back.

Author Biography

About the Poet Tony Henderson has worked in the music, television and technology industries for many years as well as running a CEO leadership network. Tony is also the author of The Leopard In A Pinstripe Suit which is a topical novel on the modern business world. Tony lives in Hampshire England, but he s always on the move, so if you can actually find him in person, you are doing pretty well. He is after all, a Leopard. As well as poetry, Tony also writes comic short stories. He also runs, cooks and has been known to play the piano. About the Illustrator Flat Squirrel is the second book illustrated by Olivia Henderson, who is currently studying in Oxford, England. Olivia also plays both the piano and bass guitar and has also appeared in a number of local musical productions, most recently Cats."
