I spent over $40 on a Joby Griptight ONE Gorillapod Stand and it was cracked and out of commision after a day. Annoyed with myself for wasting money on a dud, I hesitantly bought one of these tripods and can honestly say I am more annoyed with myself now because this is a far superior product for half the price.
As an added bonus, you also receive a phone holder attachment and a bluetooth remote, which isn't mentioned in the product description.
Mine was delivered today…good point to know is that it comes with a phone clip. This is perfect, no more sore arm from Facetiming!
Excellent for the price. Very handy to have. It does come with the adaptor to fit a phone but it does not mention it in the photo or the description!
This thing is awesome. Really useful and well made for the price. With the exception of one caveat: the packaging instructs you to install some software through google play ‘to use the remote’. I suffered through this clunky trash (that watermarks all of your images by default) for less than a minute before I was hit in the face with a full screen, full volume video ad. Once that was deleted I quickly figured out that you can just use the remote with your default camera app :/ Just pair in bluetooth and good to go.
Happy with purchase. Only issue is the phone clip is small, I have a galaxy S21 FE with a case, and while the clip fits, it compresses the case. After about an hour the screen protector starts to warp. Would be totally fine with skinnier phones.
Just what I needed for some quick product photography. Love the wee remote option. Super sturdy.
I am stoked with this tripod. It comes with a clip to attach your phone and the legs are super flexible so you can easily put it on most surfaces or even “gripping” handles or ledges etc. You can't quite lock in all aspects to stop it from moving the phone around but I suggest letting it move to the direction the weight wants to go and lock in what you can from there. Very happy with this purchase!
Need both hands to get the mount around my xs max (with case on). Other than that, no complaints. Affordable but I might look at finding an easier mount to use with the tripod. Remote is handy for taking pictures and video recording when you do not want disturb the phone – only problem is, you need to turn off remote to access keyboard for typing on iOS devices. I'm not sure if this affects Android devices.

After a few months use, the mount for phone no longer screws on. The metal bit or the mount screw has worn down from frequently removing and attaching the mount to tripod. The tripod itself is still good but I’ve noticed the ball joint isn’t very good and needs extra tightening to support my iPhone XS Max. I will be on the look out for another phone mount to use with this tripod.
Had it for over a year now and still works fine, is a bit outta place in some areas, but still can get the job done
