That we should have been maintained in office during four terms, we accept as a tribute of confidence on the part of the citizenry of Franklin. For this we are heartily appreciative. After well nigh 26 years of our life spent here in Franklin for the progress and happiness of our community, we think it not a measure of over compen sation to have received the mandate to continue our services as mayor of this city. In seeking this honor, our only ambition was to increase our willingness to serve. To this new dedication we then bring the same dispositions to fulfill as best we can, our every duty and responsibility. Such has ever been our loyalty and devotion to Franklin and its people.
