Fraser Country 68L Motion Sensor Bin reviews

Always thought the motion sensor on a bin was just a gimmick more than anything. After getting, I doubt I'll go back to using a regular ol bin.

I bought this just over a month ago and for a while it worked great, then for no apparent reason it stopped opening. It seems like a cool idea but I'd suggest just taking your money and buying a simpler bin that's guaranteed to last longer.

Worked fine for about a month and then the lid stopped working properly

This product is excellent for the first two weeks, it is a great size and looks good. However after two weeks it stops working completely, it becomes unresponsive. Thank you to the Team and Mighty ape for their excellent customer service and help with this faulty product.

This bin is really great. Pretty solid and the sensor lid is really great, as soon as you go in to throw something away lid pops right open.

This is awesome. So handy not having to use your hands or foot to open the lid. Looks great in my kitchen and a really good size for rubbish bags… Just got to stop using it as a toy every time I walk past it with no rubbish to put in it – lol.

But sensors don't really work effectively

Worked well for a while. Great size. However the battery gets drained easily. And within a few months sensor stopped working. Would be good if they atleast give a replacement for the lid.

Lid barely opens and when it does it doesn't stay open for long. Don't buy!

The first lot of batteries lasted longer than the ‘open/close’ mechanism.

Our bin has been working flawlessly for the past few weeks. No issues or technical faults have appeared so far. One thing I don't like is how loud the mechanism is for the lid. I guess price was the compromise here but. You tend to ignore it after a while.

We’ve had a few of these over the years. This one is just as good as the rest. It was a best price for one this size.

Is it necessary no, is it neat to have yes, and be sure to change your batteries it's not broken. But I must say 4× AA batteries should last way longer than they should
