In a marriage that is plagued with alcohol, mental and physical abuse, Linda makes a last attempt to save her family. She packs up her children and moves away, hoping that Terrance will soon see the light, leave the tumultuous past behind and start a new life with her and their children. Then the unexpected happens. Terrance dies, shattering all of her hopes and dreams. Leaving her in a state of confusion and overwhelming loneliness, she blames God for her husband's death. Starving for companionship, she decides to take it upon herself to find someone to love.
