Elizabeth Michele Cantine, a native Californian and graduate from UCLA, has spent her career of over 50 years as a classroom and dance educator. She has written and presented many units integrating the fine arts into the K-12 curriculum, many of them based on poetry. She was an LA Music Center Arts Education Bravo Award Finalist and served many years as President of California Dance Educators Association. When Liz was four, her always thoughtful and thankful Lebanese-American mother took her to church, kindergarten, and to a dance lesson. These childhood firsts fueled her early excitement and later passion in religion, education, and dance. From first grade, Liz always enjoyed writing, especially poetry.
