This is the third of sequential collections of the health care professions' creative and practical and theoretical based health care programs, observations and practices. The contents of the book reflect the hidden health care agenda in Chinese and Western contexts. For example, the book describes and discusses - the helping process for the surviving wife of a suicide that none of the similar literature in this aspect, the reflection of the importance of human behaviours and social environment for a Chinese women's development, an innovative crisis management in beauty industries, various community-based health care programs such as midlife women and physical activity, stretching and relaxing exercises for pager operators, comprehensive primary health care approached program on promotion of family harmony, and primary health care program for schoolchildren (primary four to six) to make healthy food choices using the nutrition facts label. The two behavioural programs are the Positive Behavioural Intervention and Support Program on improving hair-washing behaviour of a woman with disabilities and the behaviour modification program for an old woman who has not followed traffic rule. There is an innovative physical activity habit assessment tool for adolescents. Hopefully, the book can offer some insights for health care professions, educators and researchers to understand the particular socio-cultural contexts health needs of Chinese populations and some possible health interventions which have not been known in the mainstream of health care literature.
