We bought the retail version of this and all the miniatures are actually fine. Really impressed with the quality of components actually. It's a real nostalgic trip down memory lane. Fun game, great way to introduce others to the hobby. My biggest gripe about the components is I'm pretty sure the dungeon masters board/stand is slightly smaller than the original (or maybe I've just grown bigger).

Purchased via Mighty Ape the Mythic Tier bundle. Amazing quality miniatures. All the Nostalgia comes straight back from the 80's. Very well done Hasbro. I have the original and this version does it justice. Good times😎
Bought the Mythic tier during the crowd fund and while the expansions and bonus content was okay the base game miniatures & furniture were warped and in some cases badly glued together – notably the hero figures. MightyApe were kind enough to send replacements for some but they were just as bad and apparently standard quality for the game. If you are planning on painting it all up then you may need to spend time with hot water reshaping the contents and using filler to plug gaps.
Love the look of all the new art assets and miniatures, however the eway some of them were packed meant they were warped out of shape. The tip of one Orc's Mace was practically at a 90degree angle and looks about ready to snap. The Gargoyle's Axe handle is warped and looks like a Composite Bow. Not impressed. A lot of the furniture pieces seem poorly glued together as well. All in all it's a great nostalgia blast, and the game looks and plays beautifully – just let down by some shoddy plastic work. Brilliant game but characters are all bent! Not expected on a game costing nearly $300. The fix is to place them in near boiling water then cold. Such a hassle. The plastic trays are also to tight for characters once you've removed them- and then they just live loose own the box. Again not ideal and for nearly $300 I expected better. Game though is brilliant!
Not sure what the person above purchased but it wasn't clearly the same Mythic tier during the crowd funded with all the expansions and bonus content I purchased. The Miniatures & furniture are highly detailed and much better than the original set I had from all those years back. I would also say they are as good if not better than the Warhammer models I have purchased over the years. Lots of great new expansion packs are being released now too. The Negative point are the dice, They are just the same as the cheap basic ones you get with any other board games. Other than that what an amazing re release.

Easy set up, easy play, this game is a great introduction game to the dungeon crawler genre. Game suggested age is 13+ but played with nieces 11 and 9 and both loved the game.
