This is the first Gundam model I've built. With research telling me the High Grade line is meant to be the “cheap” option with lower quality and detail, but also a lower skill requirement for construction, it seemed a good place to start. I have friends who have built Gundam models from various ranges in the past, so I thought I had some idea what to expect, but the detail of the Io Frame Shiden is beyond what I was expecting based on handling older HG models. The IBO series HG line is definitely a step up in quality over some of the older models in the same grade.
