Author Biography:

Kelly Boyer Sagert is a full-time freelance writer living in Lorain, Ohio. She has published fourteen books, several of them historical in nature, and has been commissioned to write five historical plays. Her first play, Freedom's Light: A Stop Along the Underground Railroad, was a Governor's Award for the Arts nominee. She also received sole writing credits for the Emmy Award-nominated PBS documentary Trail Magic: The Grandma Gatewood Story. She is married to Don, with two grown sons, Ryan and Adam.
