Amongst the flood of local films this year – the worthy but unsatisfying “Dark Horse” and the overblown pointlessness of “The Deadlands” this true gem of a kiwi film went overlooked. It's a funny, twisted, smart and enjoyable film. Needless to say the director is going on to fame and fortune as he should but for now you should check out this gem of a film ideal for a night in. A night Housebound.

Unexpected in many different ways. How this film slipped by without me being aware of its existence is surprising. I grabbed it when it came up on Mighty Ape at a great price. On viewing I was astounded. Really enjoyed this NZ film. Well done. Worth viewing.
Great kiwi movie, at a great price
A great movie with all the great traits action ,horror ,and a smidsh of comedy
This is a good watch. Typical NZ humour which we all relate to. Not all scary, it's just fun to watch. An interesting reminder of fears that many of us had as a child, will make you want to check your walls cupboards and basements.
I really enjoyed this movie, there's a mix of ghosts, surprises and a really good twist at the end.
