Capital in Fractions, is the first capital, coined into money, and if of a gold material, from its portability, the capital in gross is carried in our pockets; but if wanted to a greater amount than there is gold bullion to be commanded, as the mate rial for our money, - paper money, representative only of capital in gross, not portable, is obliged to be substituted.
