A string of sickening murders in Mike Hanlon's sleepy town of Derry, Maine encourage him to suspect that the evil terror that he and a group of friends battled as children has returned. Mike calls his friends, “The Lucky Seven”, back to, once and for all, put an end to the terrifying, bloodthirsty clown known as Pennywise or “It”.

This is a really good film. Pennywise (Tim Curry) is the reason why people are scared of clowns! Definitely worth watching multiple times! Just make sure you watch all of the movie, with the double sided disc.

"Not as good as the book!"

It is an almost impossible task to condense a novel as complex and dense with imagery as ‘It’ into a movie, or even a mini-series. What is presented here, though three hours long, is simply the bare bones of the story, lacking in the depth and artistry which makes the book so great. Tim Curry's Pennywise is a highlight of the film, as is Seth Green's role as a young Richie Tozier. While this production is still watchable and even enjoyable, and contains several flashes of terror (it certainly reconfirms this author's dislike of clowns!), pure fans of the books cannot help but be disappointed.

"A must have for your collection"

One of my favourite adaptations of a book to film, and I've watched it over and over. Tim Curry is truely frightening as Pennywise the Clown, and just shows that you don't need copious amounts of gore to make classic horror that can give you nightmares.
