This Herbin fountain pen is a little longer in the body than my other Herbin ink cartridge pen and for that reason I think I like it a little better. Up until now my fountain pens have tended to be retro vintage pens so this one is my very first converter pen. I wasn't sure how it worked at first, but it didn't take me long to discover how the elegant screw operated piston worked to draw ink into the pen and all was good after that. Be prepared for inky fingers at first if you're not used to using a liquid ink pen. This pen will also accept Herbin ink cartridges as well.
