This book has been called many things: the book of the seven signs (referring to the seven sign-miracles John uses to present the person and mission of Jesus); the intimate gospel; the most theological of the four gospels; the profoundest book ever written; and the greatest piece of literature ever produced. According to F.B. Meyer, "there is no part of Scripture more conducive to the culture of the inner life." And Warren Wiersbe so beautifully directs us in our approach to this profound work by saying, "come to this book with the heart and mind of a worshiper." We might reverently add to this thought that as we enter the Gospel of John, we are standing on holy ground.

Author Biography

Linda has had the blessing for the last 30 years of being involved in women's ministry. She was officially called into the ministry in 1983, beginning as a group leader and then becoming a teacher, curriculum co-author, Bible-study coordinator, and finally Assistant Director of the Women's Ministry, all at a large church in Southern California, Harvest Christian Fellowship. Over the years she has had the blessing of speaking to women at retreats and various other women's events. Although she loves teaching anything from God's Word, her passion is to communicate the love and acceptance God has for us.
