What makes the Grand Canyon so grand? It could be the Colorado River, winding its way a mile below the canyon's rim, or the breathtaking views of buttes, mesas, and canyon walls you view from the many vista points along the rim. However, I think it's the whole experience of standing still, frozen in wonder, when you actually get your first glimpse of the Grand Canyon. It's a moment many people will never forget, and I'm one of them.
