Pare fo my rig includes this little baby and it is absolutly fabulous if like my you like long distance flying on autopilot and a handy leaver to set your flaps and pitch wheel. I bought this as a bulk purchase from an ex simmer and it has performed pretty good. One of the lights failed and I wrote to Saitek for assistance with a replacement bulb but they replied that it uses LED's for illumination and said to send it back for repair. As I am a qualified electronics engineer I decided to have a wee bo peep b4 I sent it back. Happily I was able to locate and fix the problen in a few minutes. Since then this has worked flawlessly. Just Get it!
This was very easy to set up, and worked flawlessly with MS Flight Simulator X. After some research on the net, I've also found it is possible to use this with not only X-Plane, but with X-Plane on Mac or Linux as well.
It is a little bigger than I expected. Perhaps about 25% bigger than a panel you would find in a Cessna 172 for example.
It makes flying IFR in FSX easier and more fun. You can adjust the auto-pilot even while your view on the screen is miles away!
Making small adjustments can be a little tricky as the dial is quite sensitive. However I think this is a software issue rather than the device itself.
All and all I am very satisfied with my purchase.
The panel switches work fine but the screen stopped illuminating after 2 nights and it seems to be a recurring problem with the multi flight panel as I got onto Logitech’s and noticed a few people complaining about it
My flight sim is getting better and better and this made it like a real cockpit
