In areas of high concentration they muddy the water and root up the bottom like a herd of hogs. Some members of this family are also guilty of eating the eggs or destroying the nests of game fish. Anyone who helps control these fish is doing the sports fisherman a great serv ice. In addition the commercial fishermen remove many gar from the waters of our state.
